Join me for a unique dream retreat in Egypt at the Hermetic oasis of the visionary Egyptian philosopher, Egyptology researcher and psychiatrist Mervat Nasser.
Mervat and I have been planning this collaboration for five years and finally it is happening!
I will also be joined on the retreat by sound alchemist Maria Christofi.
Mervat Nasser (MD, MPhil, FRCPsych) purchased a section of desert about 20 years ago and has since turned it into a flourishing oasis filled with plants, birds, trees and wisdom seekers. She has reintroduced many threatened native species including the sycamore fig sacred to Hathor, and she's planted an olive grove and developed a biodynamic farm and kitchen.
New Hermopolis sits just back from the banks of the Nile - opposite Akhetaten - city of Akhenaten. New Hermopolis is actually within the boundary of the ancient footprint of the city of Hermopolis - the city where Thoth and the Ogdoad created the world and where writing and the word were born!
Each room at New Hermopolis is a perfect dream chamber, constructed from high quality limestone quarried from the same source as the casing stones used for the great pyramid on the Giza plateau. Mervat has built a swimming pond and a pond for blue water lilies which now thrive encircled by the eternal script - ‘as above, so below’

Next May, I will be joined by Gary Lachman, Danny Nemu, Maria Christofi and Eric Wargo (Eric will be presenting online to retreat participants but Gary, Danny and Maria will be along for the ride.) We shall be exploring precognitive dreaming and oneiric oracles, visiting some of the most important oracles in the ancient Hellenic world - including Delphi and the Oracle of Trophonious in Livadeia.
Over these seven nights and eight days we will deeply focus on a study of precognitive and oracular dreaming, you will take part in organised experiments and explore how to 'dream the future' with expert guidance and perhaps even divine intervention!
During the first half of this retreat will visit the oracle of Delphi and then the lesser known but very significant Oracle of Trophonious in Livadeia. We will then spend most of our time incubating in Epidavros and exploring the surrounding area - the land of Apollo, Artemis, Hygieia and Asklepios, where prophecy - the revealing of truth - is sometimes exactly the healing required.

A true dream odyssey
We will be dreaming in some of the most exquisite and important ancient sacred sites of all time. The most wondrous sites of Western Turkey including Ephesus, Pergamon, Aphrodisias, Pamukkale and then travelling overland to the East, via Ankara, Hattusa and Cappadocia. In the East we shall visit Göbekli Tepe, Çatalhöyük, Şanlıurfa, Mardin near the Tigris river, and much more.
