2022 is the year of #FEMININEPOWER!

To coincide with the planned exhibition at the The British Museum. #ExplorersEgyptology will be hosting a series of all-women speakers who will be presenting their research on the lives of women and the feminine in the ancient world.

We will investigate such topics as - the role of priestesses and hierophants - their rites and rituals, the religious/ectastic experiences of music, dancing, dreams, sensory deprivation and psychoactive substances, menstruation, birth, death and rebirth, goddesses, representations of the female form, divine children, demonesses, protective and sympathetic magic.

Once the dates of the exhibition are confirmed we will also arrange a group trip.

Many of the speakers are returning guests and have presented some of my favourite sessions.

I’m still in the process of researching, finding people and confirming dates - so please do get in touch if you have any ideas.
